This page is intended to offer instructions on how to create a flexible, water-tight sleeve for use with the homemade
internal concrete vibrator described in another tutorial. More generally, it describes how silicone rubber caulking can be used with fabric to create
thin, flexible water-tight membranes that are quite strong. The silicone is water-repellent, while the fabric is resistant to
tearing or ripping. Once you stumble across this technique, it offers a very wide range of applications. The flexible cylinder
for the vibrator being only one. (NOTE: my apologies for the small images. They are "leftovers" from a much earlier period,
before I adopted a different approach for the purposes of this site.)
